2008 F1 German GP Race: Hamilton unstoppable, Piquet second

Posted 07-20-2008 at 10:22 AM by Bludd (Bløgg)

Hamilton drove like a champ today. He overcame a strategic error by the team and he passed everyone in front of him and there wasn't anything anyone could do about it. He won with just 5.5 seconds but without Timo Glock's scary crash (he escaped unhurt but shaken) prompting a safety car period, he would have won by much more.

Nelsinho managed to get his first podium in F1. He was leading for a time, but Hamilton overtook him and there wasn't anything he could do to stop it. Massa...

Exciting qualifying session. Hamilton went fastest with Massa beside him on the front row.

Kovy managed third in front of Trulli. Alonso managed to get fifth with Räikkönen sixth.

Exciting stuff, everything changed during the last runs of Q3.

Nelsinho Piquet didn't manage to get out of Q1, but complained about being blocked by Vettel. There has not been any decision on this announced, but I suspect one will come before the race provided Renault has even...

2008 F1 British GP Race: Rain = awesome, Hamilton opens a can of whoopass

What a race, I absolutely love wet races. ANYTHING can and will happen during the race. Webber spun in the first lap, losing his good position, Hamilton jumped up to second at the start and Barrichello managed to end up in third place.

Hamilton won by 1 minute, Heidfeld got second and Barrichello third. Räikkönen fourth and Kovalainen fifth with Alonso sixth and Trulli in seventh and Nakajima in eight.

We got the old Massa back too, with a very, very embarrassing...

2008 F1 British GP Quali: Kovy fastest, Webber suprises everyone

Heikki Kovalainen got his first pole position, awesome work. Hamilton made a mistake during his first hot lap in Q3 and could only manage fourth.

Webber stormed into second place (he was first for a little while, but Kovy came behind him and beat his time by a full half second).

Is Kovy running light? Is Webber running light?

Kimi Räikkönen got third position, but Massa is way down in ninth with Kubica behind him. Both of these guys had problems, Massa...

2008 F1 French GP Race: Ferrari's race but the day belongs to Trulli

Posted 06-22-2008 at 08:11 AM by Bludd (Bløgg)

Ferrari won, predictably, with a 1-2 finish, but Trulli's performance was amazing. He fought the entire race and managed to finish in third after scrapping with Heikki Kovalainen up until the very end. In the press conference, you could see the two Ferrari drivers being very relaxed while Trulli was soaked in sweat. Jarno dedicated the podium to the late Ove Andersson who died in an accident in South Africa a week ago.

Massa managed to get first position due to Kimi's exhaust problem...
