2008 F1 Bahrain GP Race: Massa unbeatable

Massa finally scored some points this season. He didn't spin out as I predicted.
Anyway, Kimi got second with Kubica third and Heidfeld fourth. This result for BMW brings them to the top of the constructor's championship.
Massa totally smoked Kubica in the start, while Hamilton spun so much he dropped to tenth.
BMW looks to have become the equal of McLaren, and maybe even surpassing them.
My driver, Alonso, didn't finish in the points which is disappointing. Next race is in Barcelona and I hope Renault have some significant updates to the car, making it much faster.
The race was a good one, but that is mostly because of the opening laps with Hamilton struggling of the line, and then he crashed with Alonso - just drove into the back of Alonso's Renault.
Button crashed with Coulthard, and the reinforcement of the Redbull's suspension seems to have paid off because the crash looked a lot like the one Coulthard had with Massa in which Coulthard's car's front suspension disintegrated.

Yeah, I guess he deserved to win based on his performance this weekend. I still don't like him because he can be blisteringly fast and then do some really stupid mistakes.
As one commentator said yesterday "it must be hard to be a Massa fan".
I was hoping Kimi could overtake, but I guess Ferrari needed to get a result out of Massa if they are to stay competitive in the constructor's championship.Posted 04-06-2008 at 08:33 AM by Bludd
