The soundtrack is due to be released on the 15th of July both in a standard (jewel case) and limited edition (digipack). According to this report there supposedly will be a collectors edition of the OST with some artwork sometime after the film's release.

Batman: The Dark Night is in theatres!

The Dark Knight.

Wow.

What a film. Seriously, that was one hell of a summer action flick and for me the best film this year so far, certainly not the best film ever as it rellies heavily on comic-book logic, but then I'd consider TDK the best comic book movie ever. And the best Batman film ever.

Yes, so much praise, but justified.

And I'm quite surprised at how I was able to hype myself up beyond a healthy limit and still be blown away.

So, my personal Top Batman Films list now looks like this:
1. The Dark Knight
2. Batman Returns
3. Batman Begins
4. Batman (1989)
5. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm


And if that wasn't enough Batman for one year, now we can anticipate Batman: Arkham Asylum.
This truly is the year of the Batman. :)

R.I.P is about to finish up in the next few months. It's been a good read I think, even though it's not straight up telling you stuff and just hinting all the damn time...I'm enjoying it. :)
