South Park

Has anyone been following South Park?
I've recently went back to watching it, mainly because of the WoW episode (Which is great, but by far not one of the best) that reminded me how great South park is. What do you guys think? Anyone seen the latest episode?

Saw the 9/11 conspiracy one and the WoW, but thats all i've seen this season. I have the first season on Dvd. Its funny stuff, but I do think its had some slow seasons. Its always got at least one funny moment to an episode.

Its that little show that just won't die. Gives me some hope for when I get into the industry and such.

I am curious to see if they have any more fire left in em this season. :)

Re: South Park

The last episode was really great. This show actually got better after Season 4. Even though Season 7 was a little weak too.

In my opinion, these are the best SP episodes ever made: (In no particular order)

The Wacky Molestation Adventure
Scott Tenorman Must Die!!!
Here Comes The Neighborhood
Asspen
Child Abduction is Not Funny
The Biggest Douche In The Universe
Good Times With Weapons
Awesom-O!!!
Marjorine
PreSkool
Quest for Ratings
Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset
Woodland Critter Christmas
The Losing Edge
The Death of Eric Cartman

Little Conqueror 10-22-2006 08:03 PM

Re: South Park

The series started focusing way too much on Cartman around season six or so, and it went downhill from there, but now it's much better. The Hall Monitor episode made me laugh out loud... and I NEVER laugh out loud watching TV.

Which one is that? Season? Title?

Re: South Park

It's one of the new ones in Season 10. Something like the Mystery of the Urinal Deuce or something like that. It reaffirms my belief that the creators aren't conservative or liberal, but rather somewhere in between. They just like making fun of liberals more. :hhg:

I liked the last episode with the Dog the bounty hunter parody.

"Wait. Let me get this straight. A hot teacher is having sex with one of her students? Nice"

Assault, whats the new episode about that you're referring too so I can try and find it on youtube.

Re: South Park

The new episode is "Miss Teacher Bangs a Boy".

This site has all the episodes.

Re: South Park

I started watching it when it first screened, and got right into it. Then after awhile I stopped and missed a few seasons. Didn't think much of the movie (watching a hilarious cartoon resort to the "f" word for cheap laughs is like watching a concert pianist play "Chopsticks" :().

Most of my favourite ones are the very early ones (Cartman gets an Anal Probe, Mr Hankey, Death, etc). The later ones were a bit hit and miss, but there were still a few great ones like Chinpokemon. I really liked the Passion of the Christ episode.

I think they're taking Cartman too far now. He started off as a mean-spirited, spoilt brat but now he's becoming ridiculously evil. :(

The 9/11 one was quite stupid, but the Dog the Bounty Hunter one was awesome. :D

I haven't seen this week's yet.

I think the 9/11 one was great. I loved the "one fourth of Americans are retards" bit. The Hardy Boys were hilarious, too (at first, at least).

Im watching the hippy episode! :D

Re: South Park

I agree, the 9/11 ep was a little weak. It had a few good moments, Mr Mackey was the only thing that saved the episode.
I felt it was a little obvious that Cartman would go after Kyle. If he had come up with a different target or cause for 9/11 it could've been better and felt more original.
I'm almost getting tired of the whole Cartman/Kyle thing. He needs something new to focus on. Cartman and Butters together make some of the best episodes IMO.

The newest episode was pretty damn good. I loved it, mostly making fun of the Sweet Sixteen parties you see on MTV for spoiled little rich teenyboppers. Satan wanted to have such a party for himself on Halloween, but ended up focusing on the party and himself so much he neglected his friends.
Sortof a tired plot but handled in a very funny way.

And a sub-plot of Butters summoning Biggy Smalls from hell (the old Bloody Mary way... in the mirror) was great. I love Butters. :D

Re: South Park

God I hate Towlie. I'm glad he's only shown up in three episodes. But it sucked that one ep was completely based on him and didn't have the boys in it at all.

You're a towel.

I love towlie. I've only seen the 1st episode with him and a thousand little fibers.

Butters is hilarious! I loved that whole Biggy thing too. Pretty good episode.

He is in one more episode for a random second. I think it's pretty funny how random it is when he first appears. The episode with Opera is a little boring. However, I do like the Voices or Opera's minge and ass.

“Mingy…. NOOOO!”

Damien_Azreal 10-29-2006 03:04 PM

Re: South Park

Yeah, the other episode he was in was the ep that followed after his premier episode. "Osman Bin Laden has Farty Pants" is the episode, he show up just long enough to suggest a towel and make a crapppy joke about a towlie-ban. :p

The Opera episode was pretty dull, obvious a rush job to get an ep in before Wednesday. It had a few funny moments, but it just didn't hold my attention.

IMO, some of South Parks best episodes are the ones were the boys are playing... like the Lord of the Rings episode, or Lil' Crime Stoppers.
The beginning of season 10 was a little off IMO. With the death of Chef, then going into the Cartoon Wars episodes (the Family Guy thing).
Nice to see them come back strong with these new episodes.

But Trey and Matt have been contracted for three more years of South Park... :woot:

That's exactly what I think, I love the episodes where they are just fooling around. Of cores there are other which are great too, I wrote the list of my top favorites on a previous post on this thread.

I just saw the episode about Satan's super sweet 16. That was awesome. There's just something about the devil in a Catholic girls school uniform whining about how his party has to be the bomb.

Anyone have a link to the hippy episode, I couldn't find it. I couldn't find the entire 911 episode either.

Nessus,

Here's a youtube link for "Die Hippie, Die" episode. Possibly one of my favorites from season 9.

Water, I couldn't find the full episode of "Stupid Spoiled Whore" on youtube. But I can keep looking.

Yeah I heard that. I wonder if she is familiar with the show. If you know Southpark then it's pretty hard to be surprised by the little Steve Irwin segment.

Re: South Park

Yeah, it's funny because they even mentioned in the episode how it's "too soon" but still went with it.

I liked that one. I enjoy Family Guy, but I was getting annoyed by all the "This is worse than the time when..." jokes, and South Park backed it up. :D

LeadBullet 11-02-2006 08:25 AM

Re: South Park

The way they did it, it seems like it would be hard to go too far. Someone mentioned someone showed up in a Steve Irwin costume and was offending people, they told him it was too soon for that kind of thing, and when it turned out it was really him, the joke wasn't about Steve Irwin or how he was dead, it was that he was being thrown out of the party for having no costume.:o
