My homemade Rott map

(I have a harder and different one but it's so big that needs a 180x180 template, so I tried to design another ones. Believe me, that one was astonishing, but I left behind the idea, I have shots in MS PAint of this "never possible to do" map if someone want to see them, PM me).
Well, the new map I designed is hard and tricky and just a desperating labirynth. I hope to have it released as a contribuition to Diakonov's awesome future pack, I'd love to see my map in the pack, and of course, seeying you playing it. It will be great as I worked hard on it.
It's called DEUS TUUS SUM, and it's basically a giant Oscuro Firechute-like labirynth. It has a normal and a secret exit, and you'll face Snake Oscuro once you did certain things (but ha-ha forget the idea of killing Him,as there are not firepits. He's only a trap though you need to visit His lair several times).
And well, here is the entire map (made in MSPaint thanks to the Rott Goodies and some screen captures), and below, the upper three parts of the map, detailed.

Unfortunately, and even if Rotted said has no errors, WinrottGl don't let me load the map I don't know why, so I only could capture map screenshots

I'd post the following detailed parts as soon as I can.
Tell me what do you opine of my work.
Greetings.:dopefish:

Very creative map, have you tried to load it in different ports of RotT?

Maybe you should release it, maybe it'll work on a different setup.

Tell me how to release, and I hope it's not by MSDOS, cuz I have not idea of MSDOS.:D
Ha ha, thanks.
Do you know more portals for open it apart of OpenGl of Winrott?

Re: My homemade Rott map

What ever happened to this? Is it dead, then? :)

Re: My homemade Rott map

I'm thinking to make this map the 7th of my 4th episode level. But it will be a bit different, such as a big room with Oscuro in human form and less pushwalls. But it will have almost the same features.

But don't worry, I will put your name in credits. There's another map you made (similar to Canyon Chase). But it's a bit claustrophobic. I will make it a bit different, but it will still have traps, puzzles and enemies in the way.

Re: My homemade Rott map

So, diakonov, do you have a copy of this map? Would it be possible for you to share it, at all? Getting no response in this thread I just presumed it to be dead...

Re: My homemade Rott map

Yes, I have it, but I'm trying to find what is causing it to crash ingame. Anyway, i'm about to make this map tomorrow or later, because I'm now doing area 6 of 4th episode.

The next level I'll make an entire new map based on that I received. But it won't be exactly the same. It will still have the face of oscuro, but I'll have to change some details to make it better and to avoid it to crash. Because in the map I'll put Oscuro not in snake form, but in human form.

Re: My homemade Rott map

Do you think it's the snake form that's causing the crash then?

diakonov 11-11-2010 08:28 PM

Re: My homemade Rott map

I tested. It's not only the snake.

Re: My homemade Rott map

:( That's a pity... Do you think you'll be able to solve it? I wish you luck.

Be sure you have 'Run error correction on maps' selected under the
'settings' tab in the main window of winrottgl.

:)

Re: My homemade Rott map

I also did that. I'll have to remake the map... and I'll have to do it, in order to include that in my file. But I'll make some things to be different, some minor things, in order to keep the basic form of the map.

Re: My homemade Rott map

Well, for all who think it's dead, it's not. I'm still looking for what errors are making it crash, with the help of Diakonov; and it's NOT my first or last map. The one I talk above needs 180x180 template and I WILL try to save it by shrinking it until I get it in RottED.
And this Oscuro Face's one was my third complete map. The other ones I'm making for four years, need some changes and enhancements yet.
So no. It's not dead. ;)
