At the moment WinRottGL doesn't support anything else than 8bit yet, but
I talked to Birger and he said hes working on it. :)


Anyway, here are the first few hires textures, wall21, wall22, wall23 and wall24:

Ok sooner than planned, the first hires screenshot. The fence is still WIP. ;)

I have a relative who is willing to rework all the sky and outside textures. I will post the work he's done so far using the native ROTT 512 texture resolution. He had to crop his images down to get them to this size. But if Larger textures are supported he will glaly rework these images through GIMP so that they are higher resolution. I'll post you his work on Foggy Mountain sooon. It's really really good!

One little nitpick... "HRP pack" means "high resolution pack pack" :doh:

Looks cool. Keep in mind that you aren't allowed to just run filters on the original textures in order to make high resolution versions... a couple of the ones in that screenshot look like that might have been the case. Nice preview picture though.

I don't know why but I can't get WinRottGL to work. I want to run it but it gives me the standard "Send Error Report" thing. Any solutions?

Well, there's no such possibility because well, uhm the computer I'm using now can run Doom3? Hmm, it seems to get stuck while it tries to convert VOC to WAV. Perhaps there's a voc sound pack for it which I don't know of?

Try going to settings > sound settings > and uncheck external SFX

It looks like the edges of the doors don't match other doors seamlessly, but other than that, it looks fantastic!

What port is needed for this btw?

Thanks for the comments, really helps in motivating me to work more often on this project.

I'll look into the making the door's edges flow seamlessly into each other.

It'll only work on WinRottGl 1.44 or up.

This is pretty neat. I think you should try to make high-resolution variants of the game's sprites.

Could you also release the actual models, so those (like me) who prefer a completely 3D look won't be forced to use sprites?
