Help me out. Is this game cel-shaded, or are these just production paintings?

This one looks like a cel-shaded gameplay image to me:

But this one looks more like concept art:

Can they make foliage like that now?

The first picture could be cel-shaded. I think the second one is a drawing.

First image is in game, cel-shaded. The second image is concept art, not in game.

Okay, cool. I guess I knew what I was looking at but didn't trust myself. Thanks for the link to the trailer, I'll check it out when I'm on a computer that can run videos better than this one.

That's pretty cool, the style reminds me alot of The Darkness II, which I thought looked really damn sweet..!

The game isn't cel shaded it's just in a graphic novel style. Comic isn't the same as cel shading.

Anyway Telltales games have been getting progressively worse so I'm not putting much faith in this despite the improvements in graphical style to their recent outings. The gameplay video for this that's been going around just looks like another interactive movie with terrible voice acting. It gives you a little more freedom than Jurassic Park did but not much. It's still primarily quick time events and non-puzzles.

I bought the first episode today on the 360.
This could had more potential as a classic style survival horror game.
But I still like it.

I would recommend at least trying the demo on the 360.
