Re: Firefox 2.0 Thread
Has anyone had any problems with the middle mouse button NOT opening tabs since they installed 2.0 RC3? I can open tabs normally without any problems... but then something happens that makes that feature unavailable. Thus far the only solution I have found is to reboot. I didn't experience this problem with 1.5... but now it seems that if I uninstall 2.0 and reinstall 1.5 the problem remains. Very annoying considering that I only reboot when needed

Just installed. It has a very clean interface, I love it.

Of God, it just detected a grammatical error I did.

Could be a problem with an extension. I had a problem with Allpeers that caused the search engine box not to work. Lovely!

So why did it let you say "did", instead of "made"?

Great, Firefox 2.0 has the same f*cked-up table rendering code as Internet Explorer. It, too, flat-out refuses to grab and use heights you give to table cells.

Damn it, I keep reaching for the red X at the right corner to close a tab, instead of its new and more convenient location.

By the way, I just realized I now have two versions of Firefox installed. I was hoping it would replace 1.5, but it made its own folder instead. Argh.

Wow... I went to copy Yatta's post... and hit a button, now my text on the screen is bigger.

while nobody has complained about the close buttons yet, I figure I ought to point out how to change em'

open about:config in the address bar and find Browser.tabs.closeButtons

oh, while you are in about:config, disabling the go button might be worthwhile too

Thanks. It kind of threw me off for a second.

EDIT: Yatta, I just checked my install and FF2.0 didn't create another folder for me. It installed over my 1.5 install. Maybe you did something differently, not on purpose, but... who knows.

You weren't seriously intending to overwrite your current installation? Either let the automatic updatefunction do its work or download and run an installer after deleting your current installation.

Yeah, I've been using wheel-click to close tabs for ages. Could care less about the "X" in the corner, never use it.

In my honest opinion I don't care too much for the newish UI facelift, it looks like cheap plastic, or a badly made KDE theme. I think seamonkey looks better despite the intergrated stuff.
