It's not a bug of the beta actually, as the "full site" won't have a login to the main site anyway, just your user profile login. I agree however that they should have mentioned this in the beta-mails.

It's Duke with it's own brand of humour. Very high resolution graphics compared to most build games too. The level design is.....different, but nothing like you'd see in Duke or Blood. I like it.

I only really played a little of the first game, so I'm definately getting it.

It is and then some! Keys are a bit harder to find in some maps (you can literally look past them due to size). I am going to get it for the expansion pack, I wonder if the first game is finishable?

I assume the RR Collection is all 3? (RR, Route 66, Rides Again) If so I'll more than likely buy it. Dont know what I'd get as another free Interplay game though...

Any suggestions? Already got all the Descent series

Good Old Games... Last Days to Sign up for GOG open Beta and Freebies
I already got an open Beta key and a free game.

You have only a couple of days to get some bonuses....

I really hope this company does well because, let's face it, some of the good old games were great.

Many of them would not run on machines without DOS, they were Win 95/98. They now run on XP/Vista !!!

Just bringing Redneck Rampage up to date does it for me... instant GOG.COM fanboy

GOG is going to have an optional download manager for those of us who want/need one (had problems d/l descent3, my MD5 checksup doesn't match GOGs). Think it's cool that they listened to their community and are responding so quickly.

Probably not since 3DR still sells there own games.

Also, I kind of wonder why DOSBox was used for Descent 1/2 since the source was released and they couldve either used an existing port or made their own. No big deal though

Interplay held on to the rights for a Fallout MMO, which supposedly has some funding, and is in the works.

The project will have some life in it if Bethesda's Fallout 3 sells well.

I wonder how this relates to Interplay being involved with GOG...most are Interplay's games
I noticed they have the first two Fallout games at the top of the list.

What a bunch of f***ing idiots. Old games that are no longer sold, no longer produced and no longer supported - but hey, we can't agree unless DRM is involved. Even despite the fact that these games are ALL on abandonware sites. Nevermind that they never used DRM in the old days. Nevermind that a grandmother can find them with a 20 second google search.

I can't believe this attitude. It's free money. Oldschool gamers are willing to pay for games that are easily pirated, and they won't allow it. That's hilarious. Thank god Interplay gets it, because clearly some publishers are batshit insane.

This is indeed stupid, game publishers (or at least some of them) are blind money-lovers pigs. I hope such thing doesn't result in killing the concept behind GOG

Well thing is, even if they're greedy or not, they'd get MORE money for selling their games via gog, than not selling their games at all... Saying no under these conditions makes no sense at all, if the thought behind it is 'getting money'...

It's like saying 'no' to the obvious positive choice you get...

But thats the thing - it's free money. They can ignore gog and get no money, or join gog and get money. It's that simple. These are unsold dos and older windows games, not 2008 games.

Do you know what this is?

Star Trek: 25th Anniversary
Star Trek: Judgment Rites
Star Trek: Klingon Academy
Star Trek: New Worlds
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy - Strategic Command
Star Trek: Starfleet Command
Star Trek: Starfleet Command Volume II: Empires at War

It's a list of games made by Interplay that will never see a retail shelf again.

Nonetheless, because it's Star Trek, I don't think you'll see it DRM-Free either.
I wish everybody would pull their heads out.

I sent an email begging for those classics to become available too ... I already own a couple, but if GOG could distribute, I wouldn't need to fuss around with my own DOS-Box trying to make them run.

So some publishers don't want to put their old games on the service (that most likely are already pirated) because the service dosn't allow DRM on the titles..

Seriously if an old game is ALREADY pirated what would it help to put DRM on it now.. Other than to send a message..

I'm disgusted by that mentality

Ohh I just remembered.. I have a important question.

How is Redbook Audio / CD Music soundtracks handeled..

Example Redneck Rampage's music is on the CD not as Midi files but as regular CD Music like you buy from a retail store.

Do they download as an ISO in a folder or what?
