Duke Nukem Disco Nukem
So, Iīm working just right now on a TC called Disco Nukem. Includes some new weapons, enemies, levels and other stuff. Requires Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition 1.4-1.5 and Eduke32. But donīt use HRP, because weapons art canīt be seen then.
However, could I send demo to the MSDN or not yet? And could I send some screenshots here to wake your interest up? Hmmm... you guys can say it.

I've taken a LOOK and I can see why you're calling it "Disco" Nukem

Though - The first shot looks pretty poor. Second shot is better.

I like the first shot - the blue lights establish a mood and I like the spritework. The 2nd and 3rd shot howeevr are just empty rooms with coloured lights for no reason or with no effect at all.

You are really right. First shot is OK, second is quite colourful and needs more spritework... and third... itīs
quite poor place... anyway, thank you very much, Sang!

The first is quite nice, the second is okay, could use a lot more work and the third is horrible (sorry if that sounds rude, but don't use the same texture for the ground, walls and ceiling).

For the previous screenshots, the dance floor in the first shot could use some work. The second screen is better.

I also have to ask.. What's up with that.. Michael Jackson-ish thing (that's what it reminds me of ) in the shots? I guess it's an enemy.. But what does it do?

edit:

Spritework is a nice addition to rooms but it won't save a horrible looking room. I suggest you completely remove the room from the second shot and start over. Don't have completely coloured walls, and don't use the computer console texture on entire walls.

The third shot -- If you give it more trimming and better textures (and maybe make it a little bigger) it'll already look a whole lot better.

Thanks, Sang and Telee! Iīve fixed the third one. I added there a restraunt and some other areas. I release some other stuff also soon.

Oh, I almost forgot, Sang. These "Michael Jackson" looking enemies just only dance and they were original humans until alien bastards came there and trasformed them into zombies. Iīm working on a new zombie enemy right now.

I'm not a big fan of randomly coloured areas, but because you're making a "Disco-styled" mod I guess I'll just accept it

3rd and 4th shot are quite nice. In the 1st shot, you should align those beams. 2nd shot.. well, I don't like it, but I don't know what you could do to make it better :/ (so much for constructive criticism)

The 5th shot isn't too bad but I'd pick a different floor texture.

I see that you're not familiar with the one of most important hints - make all neighbour walls (those which are making a corner) with diffrent shade, just a bit. Look around your house and you'll notice that each wall have another 'shading'

That is not commonly done in maps.. Unless you're referring to wall-shading (and that is mostly not done all over the place either).

In any case, looking at the quality of the shots I don't think we should be unleashing advanced tactics on this guy just yet.

That sounds like pretty bad advice - saying that the shading is lacking (which I don't think is the case in this map - it's not super awesome but it does the trick) is ok, but only saying "give walls a slightly different shade" makes warning lights start flashing all over the place.

I agree in a realistic sense, a four cornered room (a square). Each floor, cieling or wall should have a different shading. If not just by one notch. Sang is right though, this guy doesnt really need to get into advanced stuff yet.

Yeah, if it was an episode or TC I would understand but don't release a demo of a map...

You can have a beta tester, but releasing it to the public several times before release would really ruin the final release of it.
