Bugs in Wolf3D
Is there anything known about bugs in Wolfenstein 3d?
I played it recently again with Newwolf and I couldn't get access to a secret in Episode 6, Map 2. There is a secret door that moved 3 (instead of 2) fields and blocked for this reason the floor behind it. (See picture)
Another secret door is in Epi 6 map 7. The room with the gold key.

Play it with DosBOX dude. NewWolf is glitchy like that, but DosBOX will let it function as intended. To reiterate, it's a problem with NewWolf, not the game itself.

Thanks a lot!
But Wolf3d with DosBox is very exhausting for my hand and eyes
I'll hope there will be a fully functional windows port some day or Newwolf will be updated sometime...

Yup. This is a known bug in the original wolf3d...

WolfSDL is a nice windows+ port that fixes it...

http://forums.3drealms.com/vb/showthread.php?t=32413

It also fixes a lot of other bugs in the original wolf3d, like:
- How pushwalls look distorted from the sides
- All these: http://www.canadianphilatelics.com/choksta/patch4gw.txt
- How demos sometimes didn't display the player movement correctly
- The Wolf4SDL-Changes.txt file (on Ripper's site) has a ton more listed too

Hope that helps.

Thanks, Chokster37!
Wolf4SDL isn't bad but it still hasn't a mouse button support for running or going forward...

BTW
Found these pushwall problem also here:

There were bugs in Wolf3D? I recall Nazis and guard dogs, but no bugs.
