ROTT reference in Red Dwarf?
I was checking out the Apogee FAQ and noticed this entry in the ROTT enemies list:
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>Sebastian "Doyle" Krist(Actor:Joe Siegler, Online Support Manager)<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

I remember the Red Dwarf Episode "Back to Reality" had a "Sebastian Doyle" (Lister) in it. Is this some sort of running gag in the TV/Movie industry, like "Alan Smithee?"

Re: ROTT reference in Red Dwarf?
One of the songs from ROTT was called "Run like Smeg", and under the staff section they mentioned that Joe Siegler watched Red Dwarf and petted his cat. (Not sure, haven't got the manual handy), so it is a distinct possibility. Hadn't noticed myself though.

You've got it backwards. I begged Tom to call my character that after the Red Dwarf "Back to Reality" episode.

I tried to get Tom to go with the full character name from Dwarf, but he thought it was too much.

Yeah, there's a few Red Dwarf references scattered throughout our games. If you go and look at the disc based documentation for Raptor, you'll find a few.

There's also a Red Dwarf reference in Sim City 2000 - one of the neighboring cities is called "Kryton".

Red Dwarf has seriously gone downhill recently. Series VII and VIII sucked. Series I, II and V are the best!

Toomean2, Red Dwarf is an English SciFi comedy show. Joe should have a few good links for you.

Oh, and Crosma, season 8 did not suck. Bob returned, so...

Series 4-6 were the best, especially the Rimmer World episode. I didn't know it was let loose outside of the UK.... Lucky you guys.
