Dangerous Dave in Copyright Infringement (sorta)
This is actually about 9 months old, but with all this hubbub about the release of some of the old Apogee games, I tought some of y'all might be interested.

It's a mod for Commander Keen 1 that tries to tell the story of how Keen 1 (which I'm sure you all know is published by Apogee ) came into being.

Unfortunately, even though I e-mailed him about it, Tom Hall never told me what he thought of it .

Anyways, it's only 122kb so check it out! And make sure you read the readme!

I have the ACTUAL Copyright infringement that they did all those years ago. I personally call it "Keen Zero".

I've asked - I cannot release it - it would cause too many problems to do so.

What would be the point? Play Super Mario Bros 3 - Level 1. You'd see the same thing.

There are differences in the art between the two demo's. Just compare these two pictures.

Yeah I tried to get it as close as I could to the original DDICI (the first screenshot), though I didn't re-color Dave's shirt to make it match the screenshot though.

Hey Joe, do you have the original "Carmack" demo of Dangerous Dave, or is it the Nintendo "Mario" version.

I'd have to get it out and look. I don't remember that at the moment.

the thing I dont understand is why a game thats over 10 years old that we never played is so spechal and a brand new game of the shelf gets played for only a week or 2 before colecting dust
Its crazy I may spend as much time playing tetris or keen on any given day as a new game why do I do this

Old and simple games are addicting...
