I was watching random bs on youtube and came across this track that sounded an awful lot like my very favorite Duke3D tune:
(I actually have a copy in my music library and have since 1998 when I realized I could extract it from the game folder)

Here are the tunes; what do you think?

Anyway... just thought I would mention this. I hear xplasma.mid in other, later, songs every so often. It's a hard tune to forget, for me.

That song was in Gran Turismo and I think I have herd it in CSI.

It's a pretty generic (and simplistic) progression. I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few songs use it. It certainly wasn't copied or anything.
