Question about downloadable game sales.
I'm just curious, how good are your sales for your older games (the ones you can download)? I'm just wondering, because I've bought 5 (Crystal Caves, Secret Agent, Hocus Pocus, Mystic Towers, and Realms of Chaos), and was thinking about buying Wacky Wheels (which I am), and this thought came up.

Think about it, if you bought 5. There are plenty of other fans that buy tons as well.

I think they'd sell more games if they included the boxes and stuff (at least I would've bought some of them then).

A lot of older Apogee games never had boxes, and I don't think 3DR really wants to hire people to make any up...

You would think it would generate sales, but it really wouldn't. The percentage of people that care about packaging for legacy titles like that really is SMALL. Now granted, the ones that care care A LOT, but there's really no financial reward for going back and doing that stuff.

It would be a nice thing to do on request, though.
But I guess it would be expensive to make lots of boxes and stuff just for that.

It would be more expensive to make boxes for the handful of people who would be interested.

What I'd really prefer is a collection with all the games in one box. I know you want it too Joe
Sometime it's bound to happen, why won't those people let you make such a collection anyway? Are they making money on those old titles, or are they planning on making sequels?

Also, as I've probably said before, I think you should sell games that aren't compatible with XP. You should give a clear message that they WILL NOT WORK in XP - then people would have nothing to whine about. You could suggest Dosbox but give no guarantees, let people buy the games on their own risk.
Or could you at least sell the games to me?

Then you could just pass the cost along to them.
