You can edit hocus pocus?
Is there some editor or a new version of Wombat I don't know about?

Don't know about Duke2 editing, but it shouldn't be too hard to add if it doesn't allow it already.

Thanks, but I already found the site earlier.
Forgot to edit my post.
And yeah, it's supposed to work with Duke2,
but when I replaced the sprites it permanently
messed them up.
Now I have to find my Duke2 discs and reinstall it.

btw, when is wombat going to support BIO-MENACE?

Re: Hocus Pocus Xmas mod
Don't forget that the sprites use two files - actors.mni and actrinfo.mni. actors.mni contains the images, while actrinfo.mni specifies where the sprites are in that file; if you didn't change the size of any sprites it should've worked fine.

How exactly did you try to change them? Note that simply 'replacing' with a bitmap will screw things up, as the replace button simply takes the file and puts it into the packed .cmp file, and Duke2 has no idea what to do with bitmaps. I should probably make this more clear, sorry for any confusion caused.

Wombat will support Bio-menace soon, I hope.

How else can I edit the sprites without replacing
actors.mni with a BMP?
I just want to give Duke sunglasses.

Re: Hocus Pocus Xmas mod
You can't yet. You can only import to the backdrops in Duke 2 at the moment, but I'm working on it.

Oh, ok.
btw, big fan of wombat,
I used it to extract a few Monster Bash
sprites for my Wolf3D TC Monster Bash 3D.
More info: mb3d.moddb.com

I love the old Apogee/ID games,
hope you make it support Bio-Menace soon,
it's one of my favorite games.

Re: Hocus Pocus Xmas mod
OK, you've got Biomenace, based mainly on Andy Durdin's work - Biomenace is virtually identical to Keen 4-6, engine-wise.

Grab wombat 0.4 here

In a few days I hope to write up some Biomenace support for Andy Durdin's ModKeen, so you'll be able to change images and so forth. Till then, you'll only be able to view them

Hi! Thanks szevvy! I happen to come across the latest version of Wombat, called Wombat 1.0! It comes with amazing new features too!
