Prey Booth at E3
While 3D Realms as a company did not attend E3 2006, Scott Miller did go. Likewise some of the guys from Human Head went to E3, as well as some other folks connected with Prey. Jeron Moore, who is Prey's music producer was there, and sent along a few pictures of the Prey booth in the 2K area at E3. You can check 'em out in our photo gallery here:

Cool booth. It's nice to see that a lot of people got the chance to test it out at e3. It's cool that the Triton CEO, Royal O' Brien was there. Didn't expect to see someone from Triton.
Duke Nukem Forever will be released in 2010. The community will realize its dream of playing the greatest game of all time. :)

Not bad, nothing spectacular, but not terrible either.

Scott is a short guy...

And those dual screens for the games are cool... I guess they're there to make it more clear for others to watch the game while played...

Tell me about E3. I go to numerous casino gaming tradeshows, and understand the business end of the show. What's the purpose of E3 (other than showing off the latest games)? Can 'civillians' go?

It's a trade only show. Nominally it's purpose is to get buyers excited so they will buy lots and lots of units for their stores. However, the purpose has been somewhat obscured over the years. Honestly, I firmly believe you learn more about games staying at home and cruising the internet than you do on the floor of the show.

Re: Prey Booth at E3
The only thing with staying at home is that you don't get to try the stuff thats on show yourself, BUT with the amount of people there is loads of waiting and lots on some things more than other *eyes Nintendo*.

Home coverage is fantastic now, I remember years ago being excited when the mags that had coverage on E3 games would come out and I'd buy loads of different ones as there easn't too much info in each. Then with the net you started seeing the write ups on lots of stuff quickly, then the trailers e.t.c. came up on the net and over the last couple of years theres been live Conference's, trailers, recorded footage of games, peoples opinions of what they've seen and interviews with the devs at E3 available on the net, making access to data immediate or at least almost immediate and you can often see whats "hot" at E3. This year was particulary (sp) fantastic.

In other Prey news I've just seen that some kind soul has posted links to online US retailers that are pre-ordering the PC LCE edition (even though these links haven't appeared on the Prey Pre-order program page ) so I've just put an order down for one to ship over to the UK! I am stoked.
