Does anybody remember that movie where the kids get trapped in an arcade game?
Does anybody remember that movie where the kids get trapped in an arcade game, and the only way out was to win? I remember seeing this on TV sometime in the early to mid-nineties, and I can't remember any names or anything really concrete. Any clues would be helpful.

P.S.,
It wasn't Tron.

How many were trapped? This sounds familiar.

The Last Starfighter was where there was a arcade game being used as a training simulation. Nothing to do with being trapped in an arcade game.

There was an episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark? where a kid gets trapped inside a pinball game (in a mall).

That's the plot of dozens of movies from the '80s and '90s, but my guess would be Arcade.

It was also the plot of an X-Files episode written by William Gibson, I think.

The concept of 'people getting trapped in virtual world' is not new.

I remember seeing a movie about a guy who traded his soul for a satellite TV with 666 channels, and he got sucked into it with his ex-wife.

It's totally new. Just like some cops family being gunned down causing him to go on a shooting spree to kill all of the bad guys.

that's actually a really good movie, it's called "Stay Tuned" with John Ritter I remember they mocked alot of shows in that, like Seinfeld, Fresh Prince, Different Strokes, Wayans World, etc.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0105466/ I loved that movie.

It was the first thing I thought of, myself.

I'm surprised you remember that at all - the show has been off the air for a pretty long time.

Hmm thats odd, for all purposes I think here in Canada that show is probably still on YTV. Mind you I have a bad habit of thinking "that wasn't that long ago" meanwhile its been many many moons....
