If they can, then why would they not allow anything to go beyond 480p? Why not just leave it open and let games select their own resolution? If the can and they do update it to allow this which I am 99% sure would never happen, it would most likely mean that everything made so far before this update would not support it.

I don't care if the textures aren't huge resolutions and has the latest graphical effects. I just don't want huge blobby pixely edges all over the place.

RE4 doesn't support 480p. If you play a GC on a Wii set to 480p it runs in in PS? Didn't know that. And oh my lordy, how RE4 looks TERRIBLE on my Wii. Oh how bad... even worse than the Gamecube version. It's a great looking game on the Cube but it looked horrible on my HDTV 46" on 480i. MP on the other hand looked fine.

I'm thinking of selling my Wii. I'm low on money, there's no games that interest me, Zelda no longer holds my attention, I've hit my upper limit on Wii Sports... I don't know, I'll wait a bit, but right now I'm regretting getting it, as fun as things are for a while.

All consoles have a drought after launch. If you sell now and then buy it again when better games come out then you're going to be throwing money away.

The whole list of games so far doesn't interest me. I might check out Super Mario Galaxy, but besides that, I don't see anything.

I'll keep it, but I think I'll nuke my Wii Sports CD or something.

First person shooters that aren't Red Steel or WWII-themed, historical strategy games of any type, hack-and-slashes.

I'm sure there'll be SOMETHING eventually, really. I'm just kinda disappointed that I have this Wii sitting on top of my TV collecting dust.

i know how u feel, i pretty much regret buying both of those games. i see alot of potential for FPSs on the wii in the future, but right now...ugh.

Sonic, MK:A and Mario Galaxy are the main ones I'm looking forward to. But I also want Wii Play, Resident Evil, Metroid Prime... and we'll see what else manages to make it's way to the Wii.

On another note it seems my brother has found a place that always has Wiis in stock, along with controllers and games, so he and my dad are going to pick one up this weekend probably.

@Little Conqueror, give it time. Not every title coming to the Wii is listed anywhere. And you have to give it time, I mean the 360 didn't get it's Killer App until this year (Gears of War).
Plus Manhunt 2 is coming to the Wii... that should be a blast in itself.

Yeah, if you set Progressive Scan on on the Wii it will run it in progressive scan. When you boot the disc it will ask if you want to run it in 480p, to which I responded "yes", and TADA! The text went from looking shitty (normal) to AMAZ0R!

i played some Dragon ball with a friend last friday who owns it in PS2 format, i kicked his ass, looks like the smash button era is finally going down, sorry if you have a 360 or a ps3, wii gamers can still own you and you can't own them
