Duke Nukem Make your own Duke3D comic
I've been working on a web based editor that lets anyone create their own Duke comic, here's one I knocked up:

You can access the editor for yourself at http://strifeworld.kicks-ass.net/StripEditorV1/

Lemme know what you think guys

Hmm... I seem to be having some problems... when I place a sprite, and then move and resize it a bit, everything (sprite and all windows) become immovable at some point... also I noticed that resizing doesn't always work as well...

This is a cool tool though, and if you work out the kinks I'd really like to make some comics...

Ooh and these are 2 things I'd like to see in any next version you'd be making

- the ability to size/resize the panels
- different 'styles' of textboxes

Awesome work, though!

Re: Make your own Duke3D comic
Thanks Kalki, the reason I do things like this is for the positive feedback

Rider, at the moment the system is only predictable under IE - it doesn't really work in Firefox/Opera. This could be fixed, it just needs some of the JavaScript refined to be more cross browser compatible.

More info about the editor and all the source code (so you can do what you like with it!) is all available at http://www.strifestrips.com/StripEditor/

Cool! Neat stuff, realy! I guess you could post this at the BnG forums to spark more comics soon! You should try to find a new name for this kind of comic!

Also, what about adding stuff from Redneck Rampage? It's build too, so I think that it make it easier!

EDIT: Why that big archive of old comics don't loads?

Partially related to the editor (Not THAT much), but Mav', you seriously gotta repair the old comic (ThisStrife) section, there's quite a bit of errors which prevents viewing some (if not all. ) comics.

Hmmm... I wasn't aware of that, thanks for the heads up, I'll look into that.

I didn't add too many backgrounds to begin with, as I thought having fewer to begin with would focus people creativity Then as things heated up and people got into the swing of things I'd add more backgrounds and sprites for people to experiment with.

By the way, good job everybody on the comics. I love them all!

It's pretty easy to setup an ASP.NET server on your own computer though. Especially if you use XP Professional and own Visual Studio.
