So if everybody did this with every article of issue of every magazine, where would we be.....I know it's Duke and everything, but that doesn't make it an exception; if anything it's worse because Duke's popularity is one of the main selling points of that issue.

And regarding Jeron Moore.....awesome guy. I personally communicated with him via myspace some time ago and he has some serious talent- remember the Prey trailer? From talking to him, I have every bit of confidence that this guy would die before letting something like Duke 3D's classic tunes be tarnished. I'm not worried about the music one bit.

Mr Bear, you have a point about purchasing the magazine for ourselves, but I haven't seen it at news stands and if I were to buy it directly from the OXM site, I'd have to get a subscription.

It's not on stands, yet.

Plus you know, companies like Microsoft tend to frown on scans - they usually come down on stuff like that.

I've had a thought, though. Is this XBLA game US and Canada only? Microsoft and\or devs have blocked many XBLA games for us New Zealanders.

There ARE ways around it, however

I meant I just haven't seen OXM on stands altogether--not just this particular issue. And they do indeed frown on it, you're right.

I know, we'll finally be able to play Dukematch without the lag and/or incompatibly issues with various ports and versions of the game. Not to mention this should re-strengthen the community and increase fans and players and such.

Is it cheaper to buy MS points on Ebay btw? I know you're just doing it because you're not in the US, but I'd consider it if I could save a few bucks.

No, not cheaper at all. US points will not work with my New Zealand xbox live account. However, they WILL work with my American account... download Duke3d with my American account and play it on my NZ account. That's if Microsoft "blocks" Duke3d over live for NZ\Aussie.

The reaction to the announcement on Monday of Duke Nukem 3D coming for the Xbox LIVE Arcade has been extremely positive. We will have more information for you shortly, but in the meantime, you can check out today's "Gaming Headlines" video from the cable network G4's "X-Play" show.

This is awesome.

I think tomorrow I'm going to go talk to my cable provider and see about getting another modem from them.

Since I'm not paying a hundred bucks for the Wi-Fi adapter for my 360 and it's a pain in the ass to run a cable from my office through the entire house just for the 360. I must have Duke on my 360 though.

I'd say 50-100 MB tops.

We found a better midi instrument file but that was it. The music all in all sounds like the original game if you had a decent sound card back then.

re: Size of the game. I think it's around 75 megs. Too large for a memory card, unfortunately. There were some foreign language fonts and other things that drove the size up.

Aha. I had been wondering where the extra 30 megs or so over the PC version came from. Guess that explains it.

Testing those was one of my duties. It tested your knowledge of the menu system when everything was in another language. Especially things like Japanese.

I hope you guys reveal the Trailer for DNF the same day of release date for Duke 3D on 360 Live Arcade, it would really make lots of heads spin in double excitement.

Funny... I would never think about purchasing a 360 until now

I wish this game came out on PSN/PS3, This way we could use Mouse/Keyboard

To me, this game just isn't what it is without the Mouse/Keyboard, Duke is known for its fast paced action, running around on steroids shooting each other with shotguns, you have to have a Mouse/Keyboard!!

So on my side, ill be waiting for a Mouse/Keyboard annoucement, or PS3 annoucements before I make the purchase

I'll pay $50 for it, Duke is the best!

I usually consider the release date official only once it's announced by whatever developer made the project.
(The actual date, not the fact that it's been decided/calculated.)
Even then I keep in mind that projects often slip.

I guess it's different for XBLA games, at least once MS gives their OK.
Glad to hear it's soon now.

Now I need to see if I should buy one of those MS Points-cards, or get one of my credit card wielding familiars to buy it for me.
