con editing information 1.3
confaq 4.x
misc. con examples in the knowledge base, including Tan's intro to eduke
Cyborg's eduke con guide
Eduke con documentation from the eduke programmer himself

Start with the first two. Then find the samples at RTCM. Once you've grasped the basics, you can try eduke cons if you have v1.5 (else you won't be able to upgrade.

You can edit them with dos edit, notepad, wordpad, textpad, etc.

But if you edit with Wordpad or any other Windows based text editor, make sure you save as DOS TEXT type.

Why does that matter? I've never had a problem, but i probably have been saving the right way. I don't know.

Well if you save it as a rich text file that would be a problem.
