They are generated based on your input by tweaking various variables. I don't have much work online at the moment.

There's some wip's there. That particular was done to a quicktutorial, shows some of the stuff you can do. The tyre tracks are done by displament maps, so those are the only images used.

Mirko rocks btw :) As for your question about textures, I don't really use any premade textures, I rarely need anything lifelike. I mainly use procedual textures that I do in modo / XSI.

There is http://www.luxology.com/whatismodo/imageSynth/ for Photoshop CS3/CS4 if you wan't to do more of textures :) It's 99$ but goes a long way.
