Because I love cheap trinkets included with games.

Please try to be reasonable and keep it realistic - of course you could be talking about a special collectors edition which, like other games, could have some pretty cool little toys.


Here's a couple I can think of right away


1. A Key Card - distributed as collectables in the different colors, 1 per box.

2. A Duke Nukem Photo Album - 100 pages of great Duke moments and developer photos from the Duke games past.

I like the key-card idea that's awesome I would especially want a poster and possibly a copy of Duke's shades in a collector's edition.

A hardback book showing the whole development process from start to finish with details etc of the games creation from start to finish...if it will fit.

A soundtrack of the game.

A cool replica of one of the bullets for one of the guns in the game, like the freeze ray for example.

A bottle of jack or a nice looking duke nukem bottle opener that says one liners upon use.

- A deck of cards featuring Duke as King, Bombshell as Queen, a pig cop as the Jack and George as Joker
- Exclusive in-game content of various kinds

On another note, I think there might be one or two threads already about this topic, didn't find them while searching though.

If somehow there is a Collector's Edition of the game I think it would be great if it had the following:

- Collectable steel book case containing the game and manual. (Hopefully the manual is full color and not the cheap black and white 6 page manuals EA release with their games) :p
- Bonus DVD featuring DNF trailers, exclusive footage, interviews with the developers and a complete history on the development of DNF.
- Bonus CD featuring the original soundtrack and various Duke one-liners.
- Collectable poster.
- A book featuring the Art of DNF.

And MAYBE 1 of the following:
- Collectable Duke glasses.
- USB stick in the shape of a bullet containg various media.
- Mini Pewter figurines of Duke and a Pig Cop. (Got the idea from Prey Colletor's Edition)

If this set was real I'd pay quite a bit of money for it.

In the Collector's Edition, a hardcover book that is over 300 pages, no advertisements, and features the Making of Duke Nukem Forever.

It has 14 chapters, and contains information, pictures, diagrams on the 14-year development process of Duke Nukem Forever if the game is released in 2010.

15 chapters if DNF is released next year.
16 chapters if DNF is released in 2012, and so on...

I want to see the struggle 3DRealms employees went through over the decades to get the game to finally be on the store shelf. I want to understand their frustrations, their pains, and ultimately their deliverance of one heck of a product. :cool:

Apology for what? I'd consider the game itself the apology. Why expect some stupid letter or whatever? I'd just be happy that the game finally hits shelves

A steel hard case with just the nuke symbol in the centre.

A poster.

And of course the game with a DECENT manual :)

When D3D was released you had stuff like books and carpets in your game-package.
Now a quick-setup instructions card, including a web-link for the full online-manual. At most.

3. A Duke figurine in full color.
4. An art-book showing various concept arts.
5. Another book summarizing 13 years of development history, including screen-shots of never before scene footage from previous builds.
6. An extra DVD with trailers, interviews with developers.
7. Free VIP strip club passes for your local strip clubs.

A pair of Duke's Sunglasses, if they can't do that a pair of Terminator 2 sunglasses because they are incredibly hard to find.

Duke's sunglasses are ray ban wayfarers and they cost about 125 dollars or so kind of expensive for a collector video game.

Nothing. Extras don't really do anything for me anymore. I look for a game I want to play from start to end.

Should be easy to pack in. If you expect 13 years of your life from a game box, how much of a life did you really have to begin with? :cool:
