others could try doing it for you
duke 3d for the xbox was a great success totally of the limit with the amount of people downloading it i would like to see other classics come out but i dought that is going to happen until dnf comes out
so why not get skilled porters to do the work for you im sure there would be tones of people wanting to see more classics come out apart from me so how about 3dr you could give it a try:):):) |

Re: others could try doing it for you
arrghh i guess this has already been asked:doh:
well if it has whats been the answer sorry if im asking a stupid question |
Re: others could try doing it for you
Well the most popular games have been ported already, Duke3D, Shadow Warrior etc, most others play perfectly fine through dosbox...
If you meant for X360 though, well i can't see fans doing that, at least, not in a legal way... Unless what you're originally asking fo, is permission from 3DR for fans to port thier games to xbox..? In which case, i think they need the right tools, like a proper X360 dev-kit or something i guess... But if what you're asking for is PC ports for old classics like Duke3D and Shadow Warrior, or even Rise of the Triad or Blake Stone, well fans made postrs for some, and dosbox pretty much works for all of them just fine... As a matter of fact, GOG.com started selling some classic apogee games recently, you might want to check them out, they work fine on newer OS's (XP and Vita) http://www.gog.com/en/search/sort/pu...gee%20Software It says "coming soon" on some, this spans over a week or two untill they're available, so it's no big deal... |
Re: others could try doing it for you
mmm ok yeah i did ment for the v360 but yes your probably right they would need a dev kit plus i guess it would take alot of mucking around just to get that
