Wacky Wheels - Serial Cable Emulation

Hello, all!

A little while back I broke out the old Wacky Wheels floppy disks to take a trip down memory lane with my Dad and brother. I installed DOSBox and tried to get serial cable emulation set up, but was unsuccessful.

I don't remember the settings at this point, but just remember we were able to successfully connect and start a Comm-Bat game. However, a few seconds after the start it would freeze up. I gave up on it at the time, but since I just purchased the Anthology I'm looking back into it (I've wanted to purchase Wacky Wheels, as well as several other games, but hadn't gotten around to it... When the Anthology release I was like "$40 for my childhood? Yes please!").

Has anyone been able to get this working with Wacky Wheels? I'm hoping we can play some multiplayer over an emulated serial cable.

Thanks!
ElectroPulse

You may have more luck with the DOSBox SVN-Daum build, though keep in mind that 3rd party builds will get little to no support from the DOSBox developers.

I got a comm-bat game working over the Internet once, but it's been years. I used DOSBox and I don't think I chose any unusual settings. The game was awfully slow so we only played for half a lap, but the connection was halfway around the world. Maybe you could ask on DOSBox's website.
