Co-op Multiplayer?
 

Are there any plans to add co-op multiplayer in Bombshell?

I hope so! Couch co-op would be great, too.

I seem to remember it being mentioned that there was going to be a special guest character. Some speculated it was going to be Duke Nukem, but I'm guessing that's not possible now.

Pretty sure they have said several times now that there is no multiplayer.

Proooobably not...

No indication there would be, and that's not really my question either. My question was if they have PLANS to add it, maybe in a future patch or DLC...

I'm wondering if they'll scrap that altogether, or substitute another one of their sci-fi characters. Blake Stone? Halloween Harry?

Back to the co-op, it would be fun, but I guess if the game wasn't designed with it in mind, it might not work. If that's the case, an afterthought multiplayer wouldn't make much sense.

From the earlier US Gamer article:
"It's also going to feature couch co-op (not multiplayer online, however)..."

And the recent PC Gamer one:

"There’s no multiplayer in Bombshell, which comes as some surprise given that similar games tend to focus on co-op modes."

The second one does sound conclusive, but it doesn't specify between local and online co-op, maybe there's still a possibility we'll see it.

"Cutting is shipping", and I think it is pretty important that they ship something soon.
BUT if they were already working on it in the past, maybe they have kept that in mind as they progress with development and it will be easily added later.

At this point it's probably irrelevant. Given the slate of games coming out in the next few months, I can't imagine the media is going to give any attention to anything other than the biggest AAA releases.

If there was a Co-Op mode would they likely make the second player a different character or just use the same character with a slightly different look?

Unfortunate timing. Posted same day as Sony's press event at Paris Games Week, and launch day for Halo 5. Also, it was only posted to the PC section, and for some reason never appeared on the main IGN page. After 19 hours it's got -count 'em- 2 posts in the comments.
