Max Payne 2 Tribute Video!
 

Whew... finally, after 2 months, I'm done with my 3rd project, a video tribute to the awesome Max Payne 2. It's about 4 minutes long. If you liked Max Payne 2, I think you'll like this little video. I've also been messing around with DivX, so the filesize is smaller than my previous videos and the quality is much better. Watch it, and please comment on what you think. Great movie! I love it.

Just one minor problem I noticed, is in the sound mixing. On a few occasions I found the music was too loud for Max's voice overs. The cello sound is interfering with the voice. Slightly decreasing the music volume while Max is talking should fix this.

I was thinking of doing a video myself. How long did it take you do it (the whole job, i.e. getting the footage, editing, mixing...)?

Took me about a month and a half. Between recording on my friend's computer (since mine is too slow) and moving the files to mine, it took a lot longer than it normally would've. Editing took about 3 weeks (a bit longer if you include planning it all out).

Which parts did you think the music interfered with the voice over, exactly? I'm guessing it was the last minute or so.. although it sounded fine on my speakers.

Anyone else wanna comment/criticize? They're much appreciated ^^

A few examples where the voice overs interfere with the cello:
"only the whole's grown deeper" (because the voice and the cello set in simutaniously)
"ready to just lie there and die" (cello plays louder)
"you can live a lifetime in that split second"
"I had lain at the bottom of the whole long enough"
"I lied to myself that it was over - it wasn't over - it would get worse before the end" (this is the climax of the Max's theme)

It's not that you cannot understand the voice-over at the mentioned occasions, it's just that you have to listen carefully to get it. It's not a problem for fans who are very familiar with these lines, but someone who just sees it as a trailer, might have a hard time following it.

I am nitpicking. Don't get me wrong, I love the clip. Take it as constructive critizism.

I guess I didn't catch the volume differences because I've heard the lines hundreds of times while making the video. I need a little assistance. I am looking for the simplistic logo that has Max Payne written out in red letters, no picture or anything. If someone can send me this via PM or upload it and send me a PM this would be awesome.
