-DNF being ready to be shown in public
-DNF being only a few months away from being done

QUESTION: in what way should it be shown to the public?

-via a press release? If yes how should it be written?

-via a trailer with a release date at the end? If yes how this one could look like?

-via some viral marketing? if yes how this one could look like?

-via screenshots? I don't want screenshots, I want moving pictures! :D

-in a different way? :o

trailer and a demo. i wanna just go on the net one day and have them smack me in the face with the news it was done, here's a demo and a trailer. no big lead up, no magazine exclusives, no cock teasing of any sorts.

Via the temporary closure of these forums to be replaced by a countdown on the main page dating to June 15, hence a great reveal at E3. George & Co will be there and there will be an epic trailer and playable demo.

1st re-negotiate with T2, they can do distribution but the promotion of DNF gets split between two companies that will perform the bulk of the marketing.

WWE entertainment during a major WWE PPV special (Wrestlemania/Summer Slam, etc...) handles the introduction of a 'Duke" wrestler (don't really care anymore which wrestler) that saves WWE divas from ...(who cares)... Who else would love to see Duke kick ass/chew gum in a WWE ring and handing those hot WWE Divas $$$.

Megadeth plays live to intro wrestler with 'grabbag' theme.

WWE launches TV advertising for DNF game, promotes DNF during WWE shows and produces DNF live videos of "Duke" wrestler with WWE divas. WWE handles Duke merchandising (t-shirts, posters, etc...). WWE entertainment takes over Duke movie rights and pumps out a Duke movie (Same team that made The Marine)

WWE gets low cut of DNF game sales but a higher cut of Duke merchandising/movie sales, WWE benefits with higher show ratings due to Duke wrestler.

Gene Simmons (duh from Kiss) handles the production of the DNF soundtrack, music selection, music videos, distribution of DNF CD's to music retailers, etc... Gene gets a low cut of DNF game sales, but a higher cut from music royalties and CD sales. Why Gene Simmons??? Well who the F! else has the same DUKE attitude and connections in the music business than Gene (hell even Donald Trump praises him for his music industry power)?

All parties involved hold back anything on websites/twitter/etc... until the second Duke appears on WWE program, then all flips websites/twitter feeds/etc.. to full-blown Duke-fest, nothing else on sites but DUKE!!!

Of course the typical viral on-line promos - youtube/etc/banner ads/flood google ads/full page ads in Gaming magazines, post DNF shareware version EVERYWHERE for download, game sites, software sites, 3DR, Duke forums, even torrent sites!! Let the Internet crash under the weight of the downloads!!!

During E3, while everyone is playing demos of upcoming games, all the screens and lights shut down.

And then...
On every screen, a new DNF trailer (with a release date at the end) begins playing.

I bet it would piss people off.
