120fps prey
 

i have tried the com_fixedtic 1 command. however the game speed doubles... is there no way to play with 120fps so i can play with my new 120hz lcd samsung :( ive searched all over the web and tried different comands but nothing works. my friend also tried searching the web since he has the same problem however he had the same luck as me...

I think you also have to change what refresh rate the game itself runs it. Ive done this once before with Quake4 and my old 85Hz CRT, but I cant remember the command off the top of my head.

Actually, I think its a setting in the game's config file.

i run 120fps in doom3. however its not the same as prey. i mean the commands are not the same even though its the same engine. Tried to change seta r_displayRefresh to 120..... no change. and still double speed if i add the com_fixedtic command..

please help somebody? i love prey so much and i really wanna complete this game with 120hz! :s

Are you setting the refresh rate with a command or in the config file? I remember it not working when I did it as a command before, try changing it in the config file.

seta r_displayRefresh "120" this is what is in my config file . doesnt work.. its all other games i run 120hz/fps. But usually they need some tweaking at first. But this game i just cant get working:(

i also run custom widescreen. which is also in the config file. thats all i have edited.

i have tried to remove the autoexec.cfg file and run the refresh rate command in the standard cfg file - didnt work. I tried different settings in the autoexec with no luck. I tried running the game with 1 core only when i enter the com_fixedtic 1 command.

help please somebody :(

yea thats what i am trying to get. however maxfps 120 is not a valid command :)

There probably should be something to list all the commands, though, have you checked that already?

doesnt work. seta com_maxfps is not a valid command nor is com_maxfps. displayrefresh in the cfg file doenst work for me. Tried changing it into 75, 85, 100, 120 and even 40 .. :P . I also tried deleting the cfg file because i thought that i might have entered something wrong in it, and then changed the displayrefresh. Still didnt work.. is there nobody that ever got this to work with an lcd monitor? I on a samsung 2233rz and run 120fps in all other games i have.
