What is your favorite weapon in Duke Nukem Multiplayer combat?
 

Personally, i love the Shrinker as it is without doubt one of the most effective weapons in the entire game. And the fun of shrinking your opponents and crushing them to the ground with your foot never gets old.

I would definitely say the PipeBomb was the most enjoyable weapon for me.

Both the Pistol and the Expander are the deadliest weapon in DM because of it's hitscan.
(AKA instant hit even if the person is 1000'm away.)

Commander, the xbox version is the atomic edition, so all the weapons are there.

Personally i think that the best weapon is the expander, so it makes no sense not to have it on the list.

Yeah, the expander is a brutal weapon. Also as i recall it blinds you too.

most Duke Matches I play are pretty fast paced where it can be a pain to find the big guns, so I tend to stick with the Shotgun and Ripper and I do fairly well.

Expander is the best because it is an accurate auto-aim weapon with massive damage.

yeh they can be hard to find sometimes especially when everyone is chasing you, I think I found out what Steve meant with the RPG and Jetpack it alsmot makes the game not even fair lol.

Exactly, how could he forget the most intuitive weapon ever made for Duke 3D, hell, for any 3DR game, for that matter. Of course, I'd have to say for multiplayer, gonna have to go with the devestator, definitely nice to have rapid fire gibs all over the place. Painting the walls red is definitely one thing that scores an achievement.

Your joking right? The Devastator has got to be one of the most useless weapons in multiplayer, the rockets are easy to dodge, each rocket does little damage, and has a really really small blast radius.

I was going to say the same thing, and about the shrinker as well. Thats useless unless you are right in their face and the other player doesn't have steroids to reverse the effect.

For those that didn't know, using steroids while shrunken returns you to normal and if you are using them you are immune to the shrinking effect. (This might be different for the 360 version but it's correct for the PC)

Now if only the heatray gun were used (Atomic Edition addon weapon), I believe I'd love to see a fellow Dukie blow up and paint the walls red. I thought it was a heatray gun, but it's that one that does the opposite of what the shrinker does.

The plasma cannon on the the n64 version by far the best weapon in any game ever nevermind Turok if you like Duke and havent used that weapon forget about it.

I always loved the shotgun, the ripper, and the pipe-bombs...Actually I loved all of them except the trip bombs. But those 3 are my favorites.

I also always wanted to see Duke 64's exclusive weapons in Duke 3D. Is there such a mod/add-on?

I'm probably going to get trolled for this... but I honestly think that the best version of Duke Nukem 3D is Duke Nukem 64. The multiplayer was top notch, and the new weapons and sprites for Duke's weapons were awesome.
