duke_base.dll Source Code?

Would 3D Realms at all be willing to release the source code for duke_base.dll from Duke Nukem Manhattan Project? It would allow extensive modding of Duke Nukem Manhattan Project.

IIRC Joe has commented on this in the past.
Something along the lines of not knowing exactly where the source code actually is, and due to the other companies involved in developing the game.

The legality of releasing it is a bit of a mess.
