Serious question.
Look at the content of these forums. It's talk about what people would like in the box/on the box/in the release and speculation about the game being released, speculation without actual information. Neither of those things need be affected by a statement that it's all over. After all, it could be resurrected. I'm sure people would find scraps that could be interpreted into something that might indicate that DNF was being resurrected.
