Early FPS games like Doom and DN3D don't use a whole lot of looking/aiming up and down anyway, so controllers would work quite nicely for them.
Using the mouse in those original games (not enhanced ports with better aiming implemented) feels a bit strange anyway.
I'm still hoping for DN3D for XBLA... or XBLA for DN3D... eh...?
Anyway, still hoping!
