They live in la-la-land. If you try to tell them that, they'll cover their eyes and ears and repeat to themselves that the early builds have nothing to do with the DNF we got because the former were made by 3DRealms and the latter by Gearbox. 
As if Gearbox had scrapped everything 3DRealms had made and restarted from scratch, as opposed to merely gluing the pieces together like they actually did.
