To be clear, the Gearbox talk is pure speculation. I think Gearbox or Humanhead are helping with it but again, it's speculation/wishful thinking.
We simply don't know. Most if not all the developers who were let go by 3dr offered to work on the game for free to finish it. Take that into consideration as well.
It's a fact the game is being worked on. We just don't know by whom.
