The announcement of this actually being in existence was one of the surprises. As for the status of the pack, I have a few tiles already, and the last added thing was the 3D Realms screen replacement. I could release v1.0 as it is now, but I wanted to accomplish a certain something at least partially (with the NWHRP too) before I do. I'm also working on other surprises.
The last work that I've done was playing through the pack again to see if there is anything that needs to be done. The first thing that comes to mind is that a few tiles have alternate palettes that either don't show up well or at all. For the best example of this, go to Mr. Splashy's, and compare the 8-Bit red font, the chairs, and some of the wall tiles that are everywhere. I suppose that the font could be fixed by importing the DukeDC green font as pals 6 and 8, but that should really be done in the normal HRP. The same thing should happen for the NW white font, but for pal 24. Examine the original 8-Bit red font tiles in Build/Mapster32 with those palettes mentioned above.
There are also a few things that really stood out to me that I really wouldn't be any good doing.
- A new red font, in the style of the NW and DC HRP red fonts. I am undecided if it should be sky blue or bright orange.
- A new skin for the beach chairs scattered around without the “Eddy Wood” text on the back. Also, some alternate palettes for it (10-23 are the ones needed).
