Re: Duke 3D for Xbox Live Arcade!
I'd dig seeing Duke3D on live. I would 100% purchase it.

I'd be even more interested in seeing Duke Nukem Manhattan Project on Live though. It was an awesome 3D side-scroller that for some reason was released on the PC. The Xbox360 is a perfect opportunity for Duke Manhattan Project to be released on a console the way it was always meant to be.

I just played it the other day on my HTPC that's hooked up to my big screen (using a PC XBOX360 controller no less). It was freekin awesome. The only downside was not being able to force it to go widescreen. The game even holds up and is graphically still not very dated looking.

If microsoft had half a brain they'd buy the Duke Franchise, put a ton of devs on it and make it an XBOX360 exclusive, along with putting the old Duke Favs in the live arcade.

Duke Nukem has proven to be a games franchise that has a lot of staying power. There are still many fans on these boards after many years of nothing new released. We still all anxiously await duke forever despite the multiple signals telling us that it is vaporware that will never see the light of day.

Duke has to be one of the single most powerful, fun and recognizable games characters in existence who at the same time has been under-marketed, mis-used, and otherwise completely ignored (perhaps hoarded?) and mis-managed by the people who own the proptery.

Gamers want duke. The money is there for the making. Movie deals, great games, merchandising. Yet somehow Gamers never get the Duke the are dying to pay for. Where is the breakdown happening here?

I'll say it again. If M$ has any smarts. They'd buy all rights to DUKE and make something of it.
