it's not really satire, it's more strangling a cat and calling it funny because you're morally dead inside. Which in general he's just yelling angrily because one of the staff is probably angry over all of this and thought he should make the guy talk about it.
it's like how SNL hasn't been funny since maybe it's first two seasons and now drags skits on for a full 5-10 minutes.
