I've seen two that are WoW rip offs I was just wondering if you know where to find them or if there are anymore.

There's Imyrll Legends (http://www.imryll-legends.tk/), which is pretty lame.

Anarchy Online (http://www.anarchyonline.com/) is now free, I hear that it's fun but I've never played it.

WoW is the only MMORPG for me.

Legend of the Green Dragon! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
http://logd.leafyisle.net/

I'm running it and it's very cool.. although it's all text and runs through your browser.

But it's cool as each go usually only takes around 10 - 15mins.. and theres 4 game days per real time day.

Why wait?
Everyone is leveling while you are still thinking about getting it.
WoW owns my base.

How can they let people play for free? Doesn't cost a lot of money to maintain those servers?

They made up for it by retailing the Beta version for a year. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/redface.gif From what I heard, AO was a very unstable game for several months. They had a free month for old members if they rejoined and now a free year. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/redface.gif

Theres an open beta now for Face of Mankind.

I just started playing the other day. Seeing as how it's in beta and they are looking for beta testers, I am going through the game from a technical standpoint, and I will send them an email in paragraph form of the bugs and glitches that can be fixed within coding and structure.

The First Person View is very enticing, however, because you can see your body when you look down, and sit or lay. You have the ability to sit down at any chair, or lay down at different places or fields.

Why people are still waiting at fileplanet is beyond me, when you could go here --> www.gamershell.com (http://www.gamershell.com)
I've never had to wait and i've always got good download speeds! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/love.gif

Well, AndOne and I played that one John posted. I really liked that idea for that game, but neither of us could afford a gun a piece, so we had to pool our money together to buy one and then I bought the wrong bullets and then AndOne got PKd right at the beginning and then it was pretty much Chaos. It seemed more like a Deathmatch MMORPG http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/redface.gif

At any rate, there is another MMORPG Beta out:

There's an mmorpg called Planeshift (http://www.planeshift.it)

I tried it a long while back. Although it was still in a very early development stage, the basics of the game were there. Not sure how much it's improved since then.

Yeah, the economic aspect of the game isn't finished yet because it just became open. Apperantly, I was talking to some guys who used to play it before when it was still a closed beta, and they said that the prices skyrocketed the minute people started playing more.

It's a supply/demand issue.

I'm DLing RYL right now. Is that good? It looks cool.

Yeah, I noticed the prices were horrid. :O

The other one AndOne and I just installed is ok, but it seems heavily based on Diablo gameplay. I just can't see paying for that on a monthly basis.

There's no crafting, unless you call imbuing a weapon with jewels crafting. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

EDIT:

the account creation is a bitch. You have to create an account from the little launchpad window that opens up once you get the game running. It will link to this site:

http://www.ryl.com.my/

AndOne and I first registered at the other site, but found out we had to register at the above one to actually create a game account. :O

Anyways, we are in the Promethius realm if you manage to get it up and running. I am gonna head in to take a pic real quick. One of my favourite shots in a mmorpg ever.

Yeah, the genius about Diablo 2's gameplay was that it was a free MMORPG. I can't imagine paying for it now.

But if it has D2's gameplay and it's free (or open beta now), then I'd love it. D2 was great IMO. Because it was free. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

ARGH, I logged back in to take a screenshot of this one place and started playing a bit more. I got a ruby which was just what I needed to combine with my helemt, but I bought some damn water thinking I needed it for the conversion. It turned my priceless ruby into a god damn 200gold POSHUN! ARGH

I uninstalled the game immediately after that. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/redface.gif

WHOA!!!!!!! Cool!
The second I saw Legend of the Green Dragon, I hoped it was like Legend of the Red Dragon, and it is!

I don't know if anyone remembers the days before the internet was huge, but BBSs were great fun back then, and LORD (legend of the red dragon) was a very popular game.

I loved playing LORD. A BBS by me had lots of modules. Hell, use RIPTerm and you could get graphics. I have fond memories of hitting on Violet and naming my weapon rediculous things.

Diablo 2 was not a MMORPG, but if you are looking for something similar (say, something free :P ) then i'd suggest Guild Wars, currently being developed by Arena.net, AKA, Blizzard jr.

I was just indicating that one of the free MMORPGs that I listed, RYL, plays a lot like Diablo in a MMORPG setting. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

http://www.knightonlineworld.com but their game servers have been down for some time so I have never played. Looks fun though.

Another one is um... it has a kiddy-anime look to it, but I can't remember the name I'll have to dig around my bookmarks later.

But here's a good directory:

there's kal online.. which is asian and have assassins running around sometimes to kill you..kind of fun.. but i,m kind of sick of mmorpgs for now since they are so mindless most of the time..

also project entropia(fps mmorpg).. you can play without paying.. but.. hey it's your life http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif (meaning that you won't do much without money...virtual-stuff cost real-life money in this game...and oh.. it's made by a society of bankers or something..and ..it's getting bigger.. fear for your life http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif)..if finance would be easier in this game, it would be great.. but ..err..go see for yourself
