2008 F1 German GP Quali: Hamilton pole, Räikkönen struggles
Exciting qualifying session. Hamilton went fastest with Massa beside him on the front row.
Kovy managed third in front of Trulli. Alonso managed to get fifth with Räikkönen sixth.
Exciting stuff, everything changed during the last runs of Q3.
Nelsinho Piquet didn't manage to get out of Q1, but complained about being blocked by Vettel. There has not been any decision on this announced, but I suspect one will come before the race provided Renault has even lodged a complaint with the stewards. Edit: [B]The stewards have ruled that Nelsinho was not impeded by Vettel.[/B]
Kovy was penalised (5000 euro) for a breach of the refueling regulations (something about a non-FIA approved refueling rig and that the motor wasn't stopped).
There may still be rain for the race and that will definitely make for an amazing race, but Hockenheimring should provide a good race without rain.
