I may have to take back what I've said about Felipe Massa. He has confessed publicly that he does not enjoy driving around the tight city streets of Monte Carlo and usually when someone doesn't enjoy something, and that something requires the utmost concentration and commitment, the result suffers.

If Felipe Massa can continue this, I may have to reevaluate him and it may show that he is indeed World Champion material. Anyway, he was mighty impressive during qualifying where everyone thought the McLarens would be the ones to beat and that Kimi Räikkönen would be faster than Felipe Massa, due to Kimi's higher precision and style of driving.

I have never seen a driver so apparently shocked at his own great performance. He couldn't believe it and it must have grated on Lewis Hamilton's nerves when Massa said he couldn't believe it and he didn't know where he got the lap from because Lewis drove on his and his car's limit.

Anyway, it was a thrilling qualifier with Nico Rosberg punching above his weight and outqualifying the generally faster Renault of Fernando Alonso, who qualified 6th and 7th respectively. Rosberg essentially took the place of Nick Heidfeld in the pecking order where Ferrari, McLaren and BMW have been the defacto front rows of the season so far.

Monaco is a circuit where overtaking is insanely difficult if not practically impossible, but if there will be rain, anything can and everything may happen.
