07-26-2008 08:08 PMThiefI'm about 2 hours into Yakuza. I definitely like it. Has a real authentic, movie-like feel to it. Good voice-acting, lots of swearing, good story, and pretty decent graphics.
City is full of life. Lots of things to do. Gamble, eat, stock up on inventory items at convenience stores, batting cages, arcades.
I say the only annoying thing is that before every fight, you're presented with a splash screen that seems to last forever. eg. VS Abe the Tough Guy. Also, there's no free-roam camera.
Combat is cool, but I havent unlocked many power-ups yet, though some of your 'Heat' moves are quite brutal. -

The story follows an aging Tokyo bureaucrat who, upon discovering that he is terminal with stomach cancer, decides to finally start living and pursue the cause of having a children's park erected in town. Plot aside, the movie is really about how every human being should...

1) To be inspired at the drop of hat.
- Literally. I'd wear this "creative fedora" and whenever I wanted to draw or write something, I'd throw it to the ground and yell "SHOWTIME!", or some trademark line like that.

- Did that comment you made to that pretty girl come off as awkward or clumsy? Told a racial joke at just the wrong time? Did your interview...
