As it stands now I only know of a couple servers that can handle download speeds that fast, and they only host small files. And I was thinking the "standard" 56k-level connection (at the time) would be that fast.

Yeah. If this mod is ever made, the file size could be a bit hectic. Though our team (and ofcourse myself) has thought of all possible ways to keep the file size low. Even the final compilation wont be made on my machine(I suppose). For example we would obviously not make another run animation for the enemies just to show that it has new animations. We wouldn't use extremely hi-res textures on un-necessary or un important places. Doesn't make a sense at all. Remember the road texture in the last chapter in MP1? Thats what we should say good optimization.

Punisher Mod?
Um, Guys... Sorry to interrupt, but, does anybody feel like making a TC with me about the new Punisher (which, by the way, OWNS)? I have the movie, and I'm starting on some of the levels, namely the Saint building. The levels will be tweaked for gameplay reasons. Anyway, if anybody's interested, let me know. Pretty much all positions are open (coder, another mapper, PFX, etc.). Later :P

He is doing a blade mod too and I'm going to be possibly His mapper and We could get some help from a Guy like You

from the text under

was a part of the past failed Blade projects. It is very difficult to keep up with modders with a vast difference in skill level. At that time the other modders were thinking of just a tweak mod(frankly speaking).....while I was thinking of something ahead of it so I was automatically left by coz nobody didnt prolly understand me. So there was big lack in th team work. But this time I can be proud to say that my main team mates are *cough* *cough*....LOL. There are also many helper modders who would be contributing in this mod. So there's no chance to failure. Also at that time I was a novice...........in all these days I've improved immensely. I learnt 3dsmax with a solid base...............did take my hands on several engines like Q3Radient, Genesis, WorldCraft and Unreal........etc.......to gather experience and get acquainted with the basic level contruction pipeline and how to tackle problems. I've also increased the pace of workin in MAXED (except for the rendering) so that I can work fast without the quality being affected. 1 more reaon which wd not dissapoint us in making this mod is MAXED2. Guys who have worked a lot in MAXED1, only they know how does it feel to work in MAXED2. Its really fast in terms of construction as well as rendering. So guys CHEERS TO ALL O YA.

But words do change .......................... with time, state and condition.
It took me a lot to give up this project. Mental sacrifice is sometimes tougher than the person would've thought.

Now c'mon man, please dont dig up my old wounds. Fresh wounds are painfull to pick coz they are fresh; but old wounds are much more painfull coz u also have to stand the pain that occurs while making the old wound turn into a fresh wound so it can be picked.

There were lots of valid reasons for ceasing this project. You would've done the same thing if you were standing with my very own shoes on.

I had to give up The Real Cty Project too because it was so badly optimised and I took me about 6 months to do this map
The whole scriptig, mapping , coding , ehhhh
Never do a big project without needed experience

That’s low man. Sayantan tried to keep this mod alive. It really wasn't his fault it died. It was the lack of participation in everyone else. So cheers to you sayantan and I saw no need to bring this mod up again.

there's no shame for anyone involved, here it is a year later and how many TCs have been released?

Learn from the past, if a sword fighting player is needed - better get that settled first before suggesting other teams didn't try hard enough.

IMHO it is too late for MP2 and beginning any new TCs, but good luck to you and your team anyhoo!

However, I bumped this thread hoping that the expression "Those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it" might benefit this new Blade.

TC's here are so slow because of the small mod teams or limited info sharing. I've been workin at a mod for nearly a year now(Almost lost the maps in a crash!)....progress is slow because I work in spurts...sent out a beta test to a few people. Aztec has been the only one to give me feedback to my dismay....so it's not easy. I'd say the MI and HOM teams have done pretty good.
