Re: Prey Inconsistencies
Overall, I really liked the story but one part really bugged me. It's when Tommy returns to the Land of the Ancient for the second time. At this point, he has been spirit walking and using Talon as his guide and protector for a couple of chapters. For him to still be referring to his heritage as superstitious bullshit just makes him seem terribly terribly dumb.

Not necessarily. What if it were Drewcifier in Tommy's place? I would expect nothing less. (not being mean, I just had the urge to do a bit of ribbing )

And Tommy wasn't really being spiteful in his second journey. He just has the patience of a chipmunk on speed. Even if he fully believed, he felt that he was ready for the task without the spiritual knowledge.

That's exactly what I was referring to.

Here are a few pictures if you forgot what it looked like:

Heavily curved space wouldn't make it a tesseract...

A tesseract has to exist in the 4th spacial dimension, and any human who steps foot in that dimension would most likely go crazy, seeing as just how obscure the place would be.

I can accept that the appearance of size is an optical illusion based on spacial fluctuations or some other crap, but the thing isn't a tesseract (or, a cube as it would exist in the 4th spacial dimension)

Unless you move over to the part where the cube is just one part of a tesseract (one of the many edges, so to speak) and it is what we would consider "smaller" relative to how we percieve things, but I still doubt that is as such...hmm...meh, it is beyond our true level of understanding, such discussion is mere speculation at best...
