When you get your digital camera if it got movie mode I just found out that you can edit the file in your camera software.

Order stuff what if you do not live in USA.

Duke Nukem 64

Rise of the Triad
Secret Agent
Shadow Warrior (plus Wanton Destruction of course)
Terminal Velocity
Wacky Wheels
Word Rescue
Wolfenstein 3-D (hell, I still mod it)
Xenophage (hey, it's actually a pretty decent fighting game)

Other stuff:
Duke Nukem 3-D Mousepad x 3
Duke Nukem action figures (the whole set, though Duke's freezethrower pegs broke off and such)
Old school Apogee shirt (has the red Apogee logo in small print on the front breast, then a big one going down the back with a list of all the games that had been released at that time)
Wolfenstein 3-D hint manual x 2 (one was in pretty bad shape - cover falling off and such)
Rise of the Triad hint book
Duke Nukem: MP keychain

I actually have multiple (LEGAL) copies of some of these games. I got several of the now freeware games before they became freeware. The ones that became freeware that I never bought/never received as a gift (thanks, Joe!) are left off the list, because that would be cheating (and I can't take a picture of files on a hard drive anyway).

I'll try to get a new camera or something.
That is an awesome collection... I am guessing you have played these games since the days they were released, Yes?

Interesting you state owning legal multiple copies of your games. I started doing the same when network games began. If I ran Duke 3D on 4 machines networked, I bought 4 retail versions. I have multiples of every game I have ever set up to run on my LAN. Yep... from 4 to 8 copies of Heretic, HeXen, Quake, and more than a dozen others.

I saved this list as it is the most complete I have ever seen. Thank you for posting it. Pictures would be great if you are able in the future.

I have most of the games right here with me now. I've been playing Apogee games since I was five, and I'm almost 23 now.

I did actually purchase some games twice because I thought I'd lost/damaged the original CD. Granted, the second time I purchase them, they're usually a LOT cheaper and I usually end up finding the original in a box years later, but still.

Apogee/3DR is a company that pretty much accompanied me from childhood to present day. I'm not waxing fanboyetic or anything, but as I grew more mature, so too did the company's games. I was a bit mature for my age - my parents let me play games like Wolfenstein and Duke Nukem 3-D because they knew I wasn't going to try to emulate the violence therein. Heck, my dad woke me up one day while I was 7 telling me that he'd just killed General Fettgesicht in Wolf 3-D. So, unlike all the other things that I liked in childhood but soon grew away from, Apogee/3DR has pretty much remained constant.

I understand what you mean about Apogee/3D Realms being a part of your childhood. I remember late nights downloading shareware from Software Creations BBS (before the internet took over) and realizing the quality difference between so many games. If I saw Apogee, it was sure to be excellent cutting edge material. That was back in the day when downloads were planned by the all too precious minute based on rates of 14,400 and less. In a twist of irony as the internet finally crowded out the direct line type BBS’s, Software Creations closed... I bought copies of their backup tapes... basically all the shareware and demos available through 1996. (Around 90,000 files total) Quake was the last piece of shareware I downloaded from Software Creations BBS and it closed not too long after that.

That is quite a collection you have though. I would like to see it visually if you gain access to a camera. Images of most of my Apogee collection are posted earlier in this thread.

I am sorry to hear you grew more mature... I am 40, so hang in there and the maturity may pass or go into remission... I believe I have finally outgrown maturity. : )
Seriously, I have never understood the socially incorrect view associating playing games with maturity. Thank goodness I am a social outcast, at least outside the gaming community. Gambling, video games, drinking, television, etc are all pastimes or forms of entertainment to some... why gaming is looked upon by so many as immature, seems a rather unwise view to me. Joe Siegler knows as much about this as just about anyone here I am certain... just read his posts collectively.
Wandering off topic though...

Your game collection is indeed very nice, and it's great to hear about your experiences mirroring mine.

By maturity, though, I mean ability to comprehend more complex stories with more adult elements. I still love playing Commander Keen just as much as I love playing Prey. So don't worry, it's not the kind of maturity that'll make me stop playing games.

There isn't one. Not an official one, anyway. As we have said, the first official retail box art we ever put out was for Planet Strike.

There were a few retroactively created, but those were by FormGen for some retail CDs we weren't involved in.

Ah man! Planet Strike was the first ever cover for Apogee? Geeze, that hurts! I sure hope MrBlackCat loves his thats headed his way as of today! heh. i remember when i first go the game that the cover art looked so much different from the norm that it had to be special in some way and here it is! Going to the best home i could think of! Retired in complete style on display when he gets that new computer room done.

Thanks for posting all the great pictures of Duke Nukem and Max Payne and other collectibles, very cool! The 3D Realms collection is, not surprisingly, the absolute ultimate, just incredible! Stephen Hornback's collection would probably take second place. Others here have some very nice collections, as well.

And special mention has to go to the "Time To Grill" Duke items, super cool stuff!

I sure hope 3D Realms will make a reprint of that poster in the great frame with Duke standing on top of those huge piles of empty brass ammo cases that he's just fired available when Duke Nukem Forever comes out. What a great poster! Please keep it just the way it is in that picture of it on the wall, and make it available in big sizes.

Post Pictures of your Apogee/3DRealms Collection!
Finally, after a session of photos I got a camera to show you my collection of games. I don't have many, even thought I do have some Snes games but not related with 3DRealms at all.

So, as I don't have a lot of games, I'll show you the ones I have, which are actualy 3D Realms and id Software related. I use to have a collection of GTA but I gave it away to a friend of mine with some other games.

Well, there yo go..
This is the 3D Realms Collection. I used to own the standard version of Prey, but as I stated before I gave away some games to a friend of mine. I'm also interested in getting Duke Nukem Atomic and the Manhattan Project. That's why I'll be selling Duke3D and DNMP in jewel cases to get the boxed ones... , I hope I can get the money soon, anyway nobody likes these old games here.. Everybody's on GTA, Winning Eleven, and that Guitar Hero...
I'm about to sell the N64 cartidrages to see if I ever get the boxed ones too.. And the Duke Advance... Man!!! There are like a hundred things I want!!

This is my id collection.. I know it's Apogee/3D Realms collection.. But now that I'm in this I'll take the change to show mine. From id Software I'm planning on getting the Heretic/Hexen games (give me your best wishes) and If I ever ever get the money, the mythical Id Anthology...

In this pic I put together all the games I have, I see Apogee and Id Software as a great family, at least in the early days... I'll keep it that way with my games.....

Oh but there are plenty of old boxed games that get sold on eBay quite fast for enough money to buy brand new games. Sometimes even for 2 or 3 brand new games I can assure you. I have been in plenty of bidding/sniping wars to tell this.

The Heretic and Hexen games are certainly must-haves if you like the original Doom with some fantasy thrown in the mix. I have multiple boxed old games I might put on eBay one day which includes a sealed copy of Towers of Darkness.

I have a superb copy of the id Anthology and it's definitely worth getting. Just prepare to have a high sum of money ready for that's what they tend to cost on eBay. For my complete copy I paid €241,90 / $319,52, I ended on top of 40 other people bidding on it.

Edit;
Id Anthology - Complete and boxed (1)
Id Anthology - Complete and boxed (2)

Yes, I need to have a lot of money, also because shipping here is expensive and a mess at the same time. That's why the things I had bought are shipped to a friend's house in Florida and then brought here...

I'd like to own the id Anthology, and I'm expecting to get it later when I have a job... I hope it doesn't get more expensive then... . I'm also planning to move to another country, like Canada or United States..... If it weren't because I don't live in the right place and don't have the money I would have already bought a lot of things.....

Handed it to me.

Duke Caribbean: Life's a Beach

Just the cd and the manual in a jewel case, no box. But still... awesome.

One day when I was a kid I went to a local store of toys. I remember sawing a Duke Nukem 3D .Com copy (at the time I didn't know what it was, but was simply amazed and wanted it since it was a Duke game).

I asked my mom to buy me the thing. But momma said no.... But I deadly wanted it. Seeing how I was behaving, the seller tried to help my mom saying "this is not a computer game.. It's for another console"...

It was the same box of the .Com game. So I now I know they were lying to me. I mean, I knew it all the time .

That's a shame considering at KB Game.com was in the bargain bin for like $10-$20 when I bought mine. C'mon mom!

Your mom's cool though I can understand.

The game is fun, but sometimes I think Duke's voice sounds like Uncle Phil from The Fresh Prince of Bel Aire. Dunno why just sounds like him somewhat.

And the frequency at which he says things is very high. Like I'll kill an enemy and the next second I hear, "Bitchin'!" over and over it sometimes says like, "Damn I'm Good." but it says "Bitchin'" a whole ton. My ex-wife was like, "What are you playing?" lol.

Wow, makes me glad that I bought it while it was still being produced (though the $100 CAD that it cost due to the weak Canadian dollar at the time was a lot to me at that tender age)!

Wow, I got mine for 45 euros. :-)

It's not complete (missing the demon figure and t-shirt) but that's fine with me. I got it mostly for the games anyway (the early Softdisk titles are pretty funny!). There's no way I'd shell out 200 euros or more for a complete set.

The DVD of Duke Forever looks nice. Even though it's just the 2001 trailer, i'd be realy cool to own one of those. The cover is great.

Finally.. I recieved my copies of Duke Nukem Atomic, Manhattan Project and Max Payne for the GBA. I don't know why people don't like Maxy for the handheld console. It's great and you can play Maxy whenever you like..

Ahh.. and it's been a long while since I last played The Birth Episode. I'll post pictures of my updated collection later.

-Edit

I just realized the two copies of Manhattan Project are different from each other. The first comes in a pink jewel case and is said to be distributed by HD Interactive. It allows you to install Duke Nukem Manhattan Project in different languages. English, Français, Español... I don't remember what other langauges it has since I installed it a lot of time ago.

Well, this copy I recently bought (The small retail box, not the big one.) seems not to have relation with HD Interactive. Alsom in the installation process it doesn't let choose any language. Now that I want to practice my French I install games in french too , so I was amazed that it didn't have language setting.

Yeah, the flyer is also great, with lots of old info, pics, etc.
Mine is just so old. Found it in an old box, and the DVD has small scratches on it. But it works perfectly

Sounds really cool.

On the Duke Atomic copy is an ad. of Death Rally. That's the only game I'm missing, . But it's hard to find a boxed copy of the game. 3D Realms sells it in jewel case only.
Ahh, and the Duke add-ons... So many things and really lack of money!

So well..

Here is my collection

You might feel as though you don't have much, but not just everyone has that simple little 2001 DNF item. I have just about everything else I know of related to Duke Nukem but that is one item I have still not found... and I have been trying to get one for years. They seldom turn up on eBay. I know its content can be downloaded and it's content is free... but it isn't the same as owning an original piece of Apogee/3D Realms history. My Duke Shrine in the computer room aches for one of these.
If anyone has an extra original DNF 2001 they want to let go of, just let me know. I will make it worth your time. I wish I could have gotten one first hand, but that just didn't happen.
Another thing I would REALLY like to have is the knockoff DNF from China. (or was it Japan?) Things like that are still part of Duke history although not directly Apogee/3D Realms.

Anyway, thanks for posting the image of your collection.

Thanks for the words
Back in the days i actually emailed 3D realms, that i was having a birthday wish, and that it was getting the DNF DVD from E3.

So guess what.. On my birthday i got a package from 3D Realms, all the way from Texas (I live in Scandinavia, Denmark), with the DVD completely new, in mint condition

From that day on, i realised how cool 3Drealms are, manually sending this item, for free to a long time fan..

Its about 7-8 year ago, but i still thank them for that this day

Wow...
That is really an interesting story... and yes it does show just how cool 3D Realms is. I guess it really doesn't hurt to ask sometimes!
I am glad you got one in such a cool way.

That is pretty cool dude. I wonder how many other companies would do that.
