It seemed real enough to me. I did physically watch it, afterall.
If you mean was it made by 3d realms? I seriously seriously doubt it. The next Duke-related video they release will be about DNF, not Duke 3d or a time to kill or anything else.
When I saw the new pigcop screenshot mega-cheesily incorporated into that video, that sealed the deal somehow, its gotta be 'fake'.

If 3DR released anything that crap-tastic intentionally I would feel really, really disappointed. It rates about a 9 out of 10 on my Suck-O-Meter. Only getting one point of redemption because of the subject of Duke Nukem.

the video is definitely not some kind of trailer at most a teaser. It only contains already known one liners and already known graphics. The only "new" thing is the soundtrack which was recorded or just edited. It's just a viral teaser to promote Duke or the Duke Nukem Franchise. Nothing more nothing less.
All those people saying-in this thread and on shacknews-what a crappy trailer it is, don't understand that the video doesn't want to be a trailer at all. And of course not the start of media blowout, presumed that 3DR has anything to do with it.

Hearing a bunch of Duke-isms in a row convinces me his voice as performed just doesn't work for dialogue. It's much too rock-radio-bumper-like: "101.5 K-k-k-k-k-k KRock!!!" Hopefully the voice evolves.

I know I said that the first DNF thumbnail was fake and I was wrong, but this is far from professional quality and uses nothing new; there is no original ideas, no original sound or graphics. It isn't new, and it isn't "real" in the sense you all want it to be. It is a fan video.

And redshirtspeaks' reply on youtube does not imply anything; hell, I'd play with someone's head if I had the chance to too.

We probably wouldn't be in this argument if the topic creator didn't pose a question of whether or not the video was a viral video. First of all, how did the topic creator find this video? Second, which ties into the first, is how did the topic creator found the video in a mere two hours after it was uploaded? Third and final, why would the topic creator assume it to be a possible viral video?
