is exactly like the book cover...theres about 30 of them at amazon. i just looked and none advertise the box..geese one of em should have it

Hehehe... well I bought my copy (of Tricks of the DooM Programming Gurus new from a book store and it wasn't boxed. I think it was shrink wrapped or kept shut some how because there is a CD in the back. The CD had a plastic sleeve you tore open (along perferations), so it wasn't all that secure from instant theft in the store, but I do not remember seeing a box. There might be a boxed version I don't know about though.

You might noticed my opened copies of Alchemy for DooM as well as Tricks of the DooM Programming Gurus are rather worn as I used to read/use them a lot. I am not a very good level maker, but not because of these books. I think both books are good.

level masters is the same book as alchemy. that is pretty crazy..
i came back to check this because i got that box now (level masters) and indeed it has the alchemy book in it. The box is rockin.
