That kind of detailing the game will be good for replayability factor.

Actually, I've been playing around with that pic in photoshop, and I've become convinced that where the two bright vertical lines end, there is a difference in color which continues downwards to the visible legs. What appear to be cartoon legs, are probably actually, just the lower portion of the legs. The bright vertical lines, would be like frills down the sides of the pants, on a really gay outfit [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

The part, which, look like shoulders on a cartoon (but those are a little to curved to be even cartoon arms) is actually a seperate image, BEHIND the character.

Once you see that... the rest of that blob starts to make a little more sense.

That's pretty much what I thought... also like look like a bit of infulence from 'the fly'.

Maybe that has something to do with the storyline? Peoples heads changing?

Another interesting thing, if you have a look at the 'arms', they look a bit like bull horns. I know it sounds wierd... but it's easier to visualise this if you look at it upside down.

Heres some more stuff:

1.) There apears to be some drink spilt on the floor next to the coke machine.

2.) When the stealth bomber hits the air control tower the keyboard and pen fly up into the air.

3.) The pinball game is 'balls of steel'.

4.) There's a bottle of wine behind the girl wearing the lady killer blouse.

5.) The motorbike's side-view mirrors actually work!

6.) The bug like creature that duke rips a leg off seems to have a serpantine body.

Although, there are lots of things that remain unclear:

1.)What do the left and right hand displays on the sniper rifle show.

2.)what does the spiral shaped gun do.

3.)What is the creature that tosses the small animal into the air (at the end of the video)

But just below and to the left where you circled the image there are 4 'bright spots' on what I assume are the windows... these look like broken windows to me. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

1)On the "food machine" it says in small letter : Press to Buy and in big fat letters verticaly : Get item here.(BTW : Is cola allowed to be put in a game?...this should piss of Pepsi [img]images/icons/tongue.gif[/img] )

2)The control panel with the plane crashing says : "Request emergancy landing,low on fuel,..." so it seems like a cool mission [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

3)In the scene where the purple car stops verticaly it says : "Exect 25c(ents).".

4)A stain on the black guys shirt who's saying : Man , this things really pissed off!

5)Where the guy comes out limbing with fire in the background it says Restricted Area.

EDIT : Oh yeah , the 1 where the zombie like stands up (after the "akimbo' thing shoot up some of the wall and splat a guys head) looks the same as my Nr.1

Well, at this moment i fully agree with your story-starts-in-suite-theory. But otherwise i dont think 3DR would give any "obvious" hints for the begining of the story. Time will bring the answere.

What if this image is reflecting what's behind Duke?

Let's say the truck is GLOSSY black. My PC case is glossy black (which I painted) and it reflects the floor VERY clearly. Perhaps this creature is chasing Duke? And behind the creature, it seems like a truck is following the creature.

Perhaps Duke is trying to get away?

ALSO!!

Notice it has white on the end of the horns. Eggs from the chicken are resting on the horns!!
This is especially noticeable when he slides out from the truck on the other side you can catch a glimpse of the eggs.

if you look at the "chicken" you'll see it's actually a cows head. A cows head on a Johnny Bravo's body with giant bull horns for arms.

When you get a glimpse of the EDF soldier, in the background, a ship doesn't slow down for what appears to be a STOP sign and keeps on going.

All you really need to do to capture an image is hit the 'print screen' button on your keyboard when the video's paused, then open up whatever paint program you have and press "Ctrl C".

I think we can confirm that it IS a Bull's skull with some sort of mess on it. Probably some blood and guts on the van, sliding down (the yellow lines, goo?). Here's an outline of the skull:

In the image that gets copied to the clipboard, it has a bad habit of copying the mask color aswell... so pasting it just produces another 'mask'... which you can normally see the video through, but if you try to save it and show it to someone else they just see black.

Although I haven't tried it in Quicktime, and I dont have the Bink version. I'm fairly sure it's the same in QT.

Oh yeah, I guess it doesn't. I just tried it myslef in WMP7. But It does work in Bink though, thats where I got that one screenshot I posted earlier from.
