It's (the very rare) times like this that I regret not wanting to get an XBox. Would be awesome to Duke it out with everyone (especially on co-op) on something a little more reliable that Dukeconnector.

Ah but I'm a keyboard-only man for Duke. I couldn't do it with a controller. I don't even use a mouse.

Trust me, the transition to using a console controller isn't that difficult. A 360 is well worth the price and effort for any gamer, and not even considering Duke.

To me the Xbox 360 has the best controller for FPS games.

The 360 controller is pretty nice for FPS games, but its terrible for fighting games. The D-Pad is the worst on any controller ever.

And yes, I will be up to download Duke first thing. Even though I have to work that morning. Some things are more important than sleep =P

-Sorry for going off topic for a small rant on the greatness of a 360 buy-

With the recent price drop, the 360 is the cheapest console on the market. Since it not only has extremely accessable programming and a a fairly open policy about games, alot of developers love to work with it. Combined with the Microsoft empire and an already massive library its still in my opinion the greatest deck out on the market at the moment.

Not to mention the fact that alot of older console exclusive games are making their way to the 360. There is little reason not to pick one up nowadays with the exception of the lack of Blu-Ray. Next gen maybe, we can only hope.

Anyhow a 360 Core is only $200, but with the needed expansion of a memory device say a memory card ($20) its still $30 cheaper then a Wii, with a better network then Sony's, a larger library then both as well as an upcoming deal with Netflix to use it as a device to stream movies straight from your Netflix account.

Its good to be a microsoft fanboi. If you can put up with faulty hardware that is.

I've avoided the PlayStation and XBox like the plague when I was younger, being the Nintendo fanboy I was. Now I don't really care so much but because of the past I still have all this Nintendo stuff and don't know anything else. The entertainment unit in my living room is filled with Nintendo consoles.

Didn't the 360 just drop in price recently? Maybe I should get one....someday.

EDIT: Ah, Goldencalf here just confirmed it...

That kinda sucks, I Get off at 9pm and will get some pratice with the pc version before i jump online, but im off the next 3 days fowling the release so ill try and get the Missions completed before jumping into some duke mataches but who knows.....

Alright, tomorrow night I'll move the 360 to my room with the big screen (Not to mention the surround sound and privacy) then I'll set my alarm to wake me up in time to download and get a few plays in before I have to go to work

Sadly, I won't be there from start at least. TV is off to repairs, can't tell how long that takes - and the bigger issue of not having a X360

It's more the fact of RE-TRAINING yourself to use the stick instead of the mouse, it can be done, and I call myself the Worst Player Ever, so if I can do it anyone can, but it needs effort and in some cases TIME.
